Dr Sulak Anandabaskaran

Dr Sulak Anandabaskaran is a specialist gastroenterologist with expertise across all aspects of gastroenterology, with a particular focus on inflammatory bowel disease and bowel cancer screening.

He completed his gastroenterology training at St Vincent’s and Liverpool Hospitals in Sydney, followed by a two-year clinical and research fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease at St Mark’s Hospital, London, one of the world’s leading centres for gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr Anandabaskaran is a Staff Specialist at Nepean Public Hospital, where he coordinates the inflammatory bowel disease service, and has completed his PhD at the University of New South Wales, focusing on perianal Crohn’s disease. He received the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO) Fellowship Award, Avant Doctor-In-Training Scholarship Grant, and the British Research Council Grant for his PhD research.

He is committed to providing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and is accredited in gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, is an avid golfer and tennis player, and is currently training for his next marathon.
